Brian Lombardozzi serves as the Senior Policy Analyst for the BlueGreen Alliance in the Washington, D.C. office, joining from the Apollo Alliance in July 2011. Brian’s work focuses on manufacturing, energy, and transportation policy strategies that specializes in federal, state, and local policy, making key connections between the business, labor, environmental and economic justice communities in working towards common policy solutions.

Continuing the work of the Apollo Alliance, Brian coordinates a task force of leading manufacturers, labor unions, environmentalists, and policy experts in transportation, energy, and economic development-the Transportation Manufacturing Action Plan, or TMAP, task force- to examine options for expanding the domestic production of advanced transit systems, vehicles, clean trucks, and their component parts. Brian also serves as the Transportation Specialist for the Clean Energy Manufacturing Center where he advises on opportunities for small and medium sized manufacturers to participate in the advanced transportation marketplace.

Additionally Brian is a member of the Executive Committee of Transportation for America and serves on the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee (RE&EEAC). The RE&EEAC advises the Secretary regarding the development and administration of programs and policies to expand the competitiveness of U.S. exports of renewable energy and energy efficiency goods and services, in accordance with applicable United States regulations.

Prior to joining BlueGreen and Apollo, Brian served for four years as the Policy Analyst at the AFL-CIO's Transportation Trades Department handling transportation manufacturing, trade, domestic content, and clean transportation policies that create American jobs. During his time at the AFL-CIO, Brian also served as a Liaison to the Labor Advisory Committee on Trade Negotiations and Trade Policy at the U.S. Department of Labor and as Chief of Staff for Pennsylvania's Zone 2 during the Labor 2008 union voter education program.

Brian Lombardozzi received a Master's Degree in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from American University as well as both a Bachelor's in International Service and Spanish and Latin American Area Studies, also from American University in Washington, D.C.
