House passes another extension to transportation bill. The bill is expected to be conferenced with the two-year Senate plan and included several policy provisions. This is the tenth extension passed by the House since the bill expired in 2009.
European wind sector grew twice as fast as the EU economy. The European Wind Energy Association released data showing the industry has grown at twice the pace as the EU economy as a whole. The sector created 30 percent more jobs from 2007 to 2010 and was a net exporter of 5.7 billion euros worth of goods and services in 2010.
Report says clean-tech sector will falter without policy support. A new report says without policy supports, the U.S. clean-tech sector may be heading off a cliff. The report argues we need a comprehensive energy policy to avoid the boom and bust cycle, including an extension of the Production Tax Credit.
