The Blue Green Alliance, along with an array of labor unions and environmental organizations, sent a letter to members of Congress May 21 to encourage them to support the Safe Highways and Infrastructure Preservation Act. which would limit the spread of longer and heavier trucks on our nation's highways. This legislation would be a significant step in protecting the environment, improving the quality of life in communities surrounding highways and making the country more energy secure.
