Minnesota Blue Green Alliance July 20, 2009 | Blue Green Alliance
With the dual challenges of global warming and a recession, Minnesota has an enormous opportunity to put people back to work and protect the environment at the same time. The state is well positioned to create tens of thousands of new, green jobs in the service and manufacturing of clean, renewable energy.
The Blue Green Alliance and its Minnesota steering committee is working to bring labor, environmental, business and community leaders together to start the transformation to a new, green economy that creates jobs, increases energy independence and reduces global warming.
Fred Redmond, International Vice President of the United Steelworkers, speaks at the July 2008 Green Jobs Rally in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
