The Blue Green Alliance, along with partners National Wildlife Federation, PennEnvironment, PennFuture, Sierra Club, Sierra Student Coalition and USW held a town hall forum on the Pittsburgh Green Economy, highlighting the potential of creating jobs and the importance of comprehensive climate and energy legislation for the green economy.

Representatives Doyle and Altmire participated on the panel as well as National Wildlife Federation President and CEO Larry Schweiger, United Steelworkers Vice President Fred Redmond (right), President of Axion Power International Tom Granville and University of Pittsburgh student Anil Marahja. The panel provided a wide-range of information to the crowd of over 200 people at Carnegie Mellon University.
