Joined by Duluth Mayor Don Ness and Superior City Council President Dan Olson, the BlueGreen Alliance-a Minnesota-based partnership or labor unions and environmental organizations-held a roundtable discussion in Duluth on rebuilding the state's transportation infrastructure to revitalize the Two Harbor's economy and create good jobs in the area. The transportation roundtable was part of the BlueGreen Alliance's Jobs21! initiative, which is aimed at creating good jobs in the 21st century economy.

The Jobs21! campaign, coordinated by the BlueGreen Alliance, is a nationwide, grassroots campaign to maintain our jobs now and create new ones and to ensure America leads the 21st century economy.

Increasing investment in the "green" economy could produce tens of thousands of new Wisconsin manufacturing jobs in the coming years. That was the consensus of more than 60 people who attended a town hall Tuesday night hosted by USW, and sponsored by BGA, along with the We Campaign.
