Julie serves as the Director of Human Resources at BGA. Julie uses she/her/hers pronouns. She has a Masters in Teaching and certificates in HR and Nonprofit Administration and loves to continually learn! 

In conjunction with serving as a City Council member, Julie serves on the Climate Caucus in Minnesota – a bi-partisan group of elected persons dedicated to furthering climate issues across the state.  The Caucus collectively worked on a Climate Emergency resolution in January 2022 that was successfully passed in 15 cities.  Julie also serves on the nonpartisan Wage Theft and Tax Fraud task force through the North Central States Carpenter’s Union.  

Julie is a long-time member of Education Minnesota, where she served on an Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility work group and has received a DEI certificate from the University of Minnesota
