Policy Advisor, Carbon Management
BGA seeks qualified candidates for the position of Policy Advisor, Carbon Management in our Washington, D.C. office. This position will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing legislative and policy efforts around core organizational issues, including on carbon capture, carbon removal, and direct air capture. The Policy Advisor will work in close coordination with BGA national staff and BGA partner organizations to develop and implement BGA’s policy and legislative agenda. The Policy Advisor reports directly to the Vice President for Manufacturing & Industrial Policy.
BGA seeks qualified candidates for the position of Finance Manager of BGA and BGAF in our Minneapolis, MN office, overseeing the effective management of accounting, reporting, and compliance. This position will be a hands-on and participative manager who will supervise the Finance Associate, and report to and support the VP of Finance and Administration. This position has oversight over grants accounting, post-award administration, financial accounting and audit preparedness. This individual will ensure BGA/F’s compliance with GAAP, grant/contract standards and guidelines, as well as other reporting. This position will develop a deep understanding of the organizations, operations, programs and initiatives. The Finance Manager works with staff, vendors and service providers, auditors, and government funders.
Associate Policy Advisor
BGA seeks qualified candidates for the position of Associate Policy Advisor in our Washington, D.C. office, to provide support for the legislative team, and in the implementation of key legislative strategies on climate change, resilience, social and natural infrastructure, methane, and other issues. This position will help to design, coordinate, and implement legislative and policy efforts around these issues, working in close coordination with BGA national staff and partner organizations. The Associate Policy Advisor will report to the Legislative Director.
Wisconsin Policy Organizer
BGA seeks qualified candidates for the Wisconsin Policy Organizer based in Milwaukee or Madison, WI. The Organizer identifies and works to implement projects around the state that will help build the clean energy economy, reduce emissions, create quality, family-sustaining jobs, and promote shared, sustainable prosperity programs. The Organizer will build and carry out our legislative, regulatory, and campaign advocacy work in Wisconsin, working closely with the Midwest States Director and in coalition with our partners and other BGA staff/departments. The Organizer reports to the Midwest States Director and works closely with other BGA staff, the Wisconsin BGA Steering Committee members, and BGA partners.
Human Resources Director
BGA seeks qualified candidates for the position of Human Resources Director of BGA and BGAF. The Human Resources Director is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior management in supporting all employees. This position provides coaching, leadership and support to managers and employees regarding Human Resource policies, procedures, programs, questions and concerns. This position will lead and manage all employment practices which include recruitment, orientation, and professional development of employees through the life cycle. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, onboarding and exit procedures, policy creation and implementation, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice (DEIJ) objectives, and employment law compliance. The Human Resources Director reports to the Vice President of Finance, Administration and DEIJ (VP).
Minnesota Policy Organizer
BGA seeks qualified candidates for the position of Minnesota Policy Organizer based in Minneapolis, MN. The organizer will develop, promote, and implement programs that educate and mobilize members to action; build long term alliances to promote clean and efficient energy solutions; and work with the union, environmental, and community partners to effectively support policies that build the clean energy economy in ways that reduce emissions, create quality, family-sustaining jobs, and promote shared sustainable prosperity. The MN BGA table of labor and environmental partners is an active, committed group with ambitious goals and strong member support. The Organizer’s role is to organize, focus, and drive its collective efforts. The Organizer will be joining BGA at an exciting time, building on recent successes and moving forward on numerous promising opportunities with the support of a powerful and diverse coalition. This individual will work closely with BGA staff, the state policy team, and the statewide steering committee to develop and execute initiatives, campaigns, and legislative strategies. The Organizer reports to the Midwest State Director.
BGA seeks qualified candidates for the position of Development Manager in our Minneapolis, MN office. This position plays an important role in funder and donor identification, cultivation, and stewardship. The Development Manager maintains and manages Salesforce, a sophisticated database, which tracks relationships, grants, deadlines, and more. The Development Manager reports to the Development Director and works closely with the Senior Development Manager. This individual also works with the Finance, Administration, and Communications teams as well as state program staff.
Senior Policy Advisor, Labor
BGA seeks a dynamic professional to join our Washington, D.C. team as Senior Policy Advisor, Labor. This position will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing legislative and policy efforts around core organizational issues, including workforce development, job quality, and labor standards. The Senior Policy Advisor will work in close coordination with BGA national staff and BGA partner organizations to develop and implement BGA’s policy and legislative agenda. The Senior Policy Advisor also works with the VP of State Affairs and state staff to assist states in developing and carrying out related policy priorities.
BGA seeks qualified candidates for the position of Communications Manager based in Washington, D.C. The Communication Manager is responsible for coordinating and executing a comprehensive media relations strategy for BlueGreen Alliance issue initiatives. This includes working with the Director of Manufacturing, legislative and policy, and field departments to develop and implement a dynamic and aggressive earned and digital media campaigns. BGA is seeking an enthusiastic communications professional with a demonstrated track record of successful earned media efforts, positive relationships with members of the media covering the key issues of the organization, and a positive attitude and fresh perspective. The Communications Manager reports to the Communications Director.
