Research and Policy Analyst, Clean Vehicles
BGA seeks a dynamic professional to join our team as Research & Policy Analyst for Vehicle Standards. The Vehicles Research & Policy Analyst works primarily on research and policy analysis supporting BGA’s advocacy on vehicle standards for light duty vehicles, heavy duty vehicles, and fleets at the federal and state levels. The analyst will develop deep expertise on clean vehicle supply chains, EV manufacturing, and consumer behavior. The analyst will also drive research that will undergird BGA’s actions and positions on vehicle standards and rulemaking processes, including EPA’s ongoing heavy duty GHG/NOx rule and future light and heavy duty rules at the national level, as well as the expansion of the Advanced Clean Truck (ACT) and Advanced Clean Fleets (ACF) rules at the state level. This position will operate at the nexus of BGA’s federal policy team, state policy team, and research team to develop analysis that will inform BGA and partner advocacy efforts on vehicle standards and opportunities to codify labor protections at the state and federal level. This position reports to the Research Director and collaborates closely with the federal Transportation Policy Advisor, and members of the state organizing team.

Senior Policy Advisor, Manufacturing and Industrial Policy
BGA seeks qualified candidates for the position of Senior Policy Advisor, Manufacturing & Industrial Policy in our Washington, D.C. office. This position will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing legislative and policy efforts on core organizational issues, including on clean technology manufacturing and industrial transformation. The Senior Policy Advisor will work in close coordination with BGA national staff, BGA partner organizations to develop other stakeholders, and policymakers to develop and implement BGA’s policy and legislative agenda. The Senior Policy Advisor reports directly to the Vice President for Manufacturing & Industrial Policy.

Senior Policy Advisor, Technology and Innovation Policy
BGA seeks qualified candidates for the position of Senior Policy Advisor, Technology and Innovation Policy in our Washington, D.C. office. The Senior Policy Advisor works with BGA staff and partners at the federal and state level to develop and advance policy to support innovation and deployment of technologies key to reducing emissions across economic sectors, including the industrial, building, and power sectors. This includes policy to support innovation, commercialization, and deployment of critical emerging technologies like hydrogen, district geothermal systems, and other technological strategies and pathways, with a focus on the labor, climate, health and equity implications surrounding these technologies. Part of this role will be focused on developing a strategy for BGA’s work on natural gas.

Policy Advisor, Carbon Management
BGA seeks qualified candidates for the position of Policy Advisor, Carbon Management in our Washington, D.C. office. This position will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing legislative and policy efforts around core organizational issues, including on carbon capture, carbon removal, and direct air capture. The Policy Advisor will work in close coordination with BGA national staff and BGA partner organizations to develop and implement BGA’s policy and legislative agenda. The Policy Advisor reports directly to the Vice President for Manufacturing & Industrial Policy.

Minnesota Policy Organizer
BGA seeks qualified candidates for the position of Minnesota Policy Organizer based in Minneapolis, MN. The organizer will develop, promote, and implement programs that educate and mobilize members to action; build long term alliances to promote clean and efficient energy solutions; and work with the union, environmental, and community partners to effectively support policies that build the clean energy economy in ways that reduce emissions, create quality, family-sustaining jobs, and promote shared sustainable prosperity. The MN BGA table of labor and environmental partners is an active, committed group with ambitious goals and strong member support. The Organizer’s role is to organize, focus, and drive its collective efforts. The Organizer will be joining BGA at an exciting time, building on recent successes and moving forward on numerous promising opportunities with the support of a powerful and diverse coalition.  This individual will work closely with BGA staff, the state policy team, and the statewide steering committee to develop and execute initiatives, campaigns, and legislative strategies. The Organizer reports to the Midwest State Director.
