The Bluegreen Alliance is pleased to invite you to a small, invitation-only convening focused on influencing the impact of autonomous vehicle (AV) technology on jobs and working people.
The impact of innovative mobility on jobs, equity, safety, and the environment is increasingly being shown to depend on the policy that guides that transition. At this meeting, we will further explore the business models, standards, and public policies that can better ensure that AV technologies are deployed fairly and with positive impacts on jobs and working people. The discussion will build on existing research and learnings from challenges and successes thus far, and focus on policy next steps.
The primary focus of this convening will be on the transit and passenger vehicle sectors, but will draw on discussions on commercial trucking and package delivery.
We aim to help answer the questions: What will it take for working people to fully share in the benefits and shape the direction of the transportation transition? How can this complement meeting environmental, equity, and other public interest goals?
