The BlueGreen Alliance, a national partnership of labor unions and environmental organizations, today announced the organization has endorsed Dr. Yadira Caraveo for the 8th Congressional District in Colorado.
“I’m honored to have the endorsement of the BlueGreen Alliance. I know that we can reduce the effects of pollution on our kids while creating good union jobs across CO-08. I look forward to working on those goals with the BlueGreen Alliance in Washington next year,” said Dr. Caraveo, candidate for Congress in Colorado’s 8th Congressional District.
The endorsement is a recognition that Dr. Caraveo is a leader in the efforts to create good-paying union jobs, fight economic and racial injustice, and reduce the emissions driving climate change.
“The BlueGreen Alliance is proud to endorse Dr. Yadira Caraveo for Congress,” said BlueGreen Alliance Executive Director Jason Walsh. “Our organization is founded on the belief that we don’t have to choose between good jobs and a clean environment; we can and must have both. Dr. Caraveo is a champion for building a clean, prosperous, and equitable future and is the best choice in the race for the 8th Congressional District in Colorado.”
“We are excited to work alongside Yadira Caraveo in this election and beyond,” said Walsh.
This is the first year that the BlueGreen Alliance is endorsing candidates for Congress. Previously, the organization endorsed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for President and Vice President of the United States in 2020—the first such endorsement in the organization’s history.
