Today, joined by Rep. Derrick Van Orden (R-WI-03), Vice President JD Vance visited Pointe Precision, a machining facility in Plover, Wisconsin.

Vance gave remarks claiming the administration’s accomplishments in the manufacturing sector. However, jobs reports show that the U.S. manufacturing industry has lost over 100,000 manufacturing jobs across the country in the first year of President Trump’s second term.

Following the announcement, the BlueGreen Alliance released a statement from Wisconsin State Policy Manager, Carly Ebben Eaton:

“Derrick Van Orden is salivating at the opportunity to curry favor with the administration by helping them pitch their desperate lie that manufacturing is booming, while every measure shows our manufacturing sector is bleeding jobs since Trump took office. Manufacturing has long been one of the nation’s clearest paths into a stable middle class life, but that path has been undermined by this administration while Derrick Van Orden enthusiastically cheers them on.
