BlueGreen Alliance Condemns Hate, Violence, and Domestic Terror in Charlottesville

August 17, 2017

WASHINGTON, D.C. (August 17, 2017) The BlueGreen Alliance issued the following statement:

“The BlueGreen Alliance strives to create the kind of jobs and communities that support a clean, fair, and equitable economy. Racism and bigotry have no place in our society, and we strongly condemn the violence and disregard for human life by neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and those who acted out of hate in Charlottesville this past weekend, and others who continue to do so across the country.

“We mourn the loss of Heather Heyer and State Troopers Lieutenant H. Jay Cullen and Trooper-Pilot Berke M.M. Bates, and send our thoughts and prayers to their families.

“It is incumbent upon the president, every elected leader, and every American to unequivocally condemn these hateful ideologies and actions, and to work together to strive toward a strong, prosperous, and equitable nation.”
