“Throughout his campaign for president, Donald Trump claimed to be an ally of the American worker and committed to creating middle class jobs. Last night’s announcement that he will nominate Andy Puzder as Labor Secretary is doing the exact opposite. Mr. Puzder is the CEO of a fast-food company who opposes basic protections for workers. At a time when the American people are asking for more middle class job opportunities, Donald Trump is signaling that he is preparing a race to the bottom.”
