Ohio Policy Experts Speak Out Against Dangerous Cuts to Clean Energy Investment, Manufacturing Job Growth, Public Schools, Health Care

Union leaders, labor advocates, and climate champions from Ohio held a press conference today about what is at risk under the Republican budget bill expected to be voted on in the U.S. Senate in the next few days. A recording of the press conference can be found on the BlueGreen Alliance YouTube channel. The bill threatens clean energy and manufacturing investments and tax credits revitalizing local economies around the state. 

Senate Budget Proposal Drastically Rolls Back Manufacturing Tax Credits, Slashes Funding for Clean Energy and Jobs

The U.S. Senate Finance Committee released its proposed text for the Congressional budget bill, completing the Senate’s version of the GOP reconciliation package. This final title claws back grant funding helping us transition to a clean energy economy and in large part upholds a rollback of clean energy and advanced manufacturing tax credits passed by the U.S. House of Representatives.

More than Two Million Jobs at Risk if Clean Manufacturing Tax Credits Repealed

A new research brief released today by the BlueGreen Alliance reveals that more than two million jobs across the manufacturing employment footprint are at risk if the budget reconciliation bill recently passed by the U.S. House of Representatives becomes law. The House bill introduces provisions that would effectively kill tax credits for clean and advanced manufacturing by making them unusable and sunsetting them early.
