Testimony Of Jason Walsh To The Subcommittee On Environment And Climate Change Of The House Committee On Energy And Commerce
BlueGreen Alliance Executive Director Jason Walsh today testified in front of the Subcommittee on Environment and Climate Change of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce at its hearing on Building a 100 Percent Clean Economy: Pathways to Net Zero Industrial Emissions.
In his testimony, Walsh spoke about how reducing industrial emissions will grow American competitiveness in the global economy and secure and create a new generation of good, middle-class jobs across America—all while tackling the climate crisis..
He concluded with, “if we don’t start playing catch up, the future of innovative, low -and zero-emission steelmaking will be commercialized by our global competitors. We cannot let that happen. We need to move forward an aggressive agenda to regain American leadership in clean technology innovation and deployment, and we need to do it now.”
