Unions, Environmentalists Join to Protect ATVM Job Creation
The BlueGreen Alliance joined a coalition of unions and environmental organizations urging elected officials to preserve the Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing program in the Continuing Resolution.

As the letter notes, the ATVM program is responsible for creating or saving 41,000 jobs in states across the country, and is expected to create or retain another 35,000 to 40,000 with loans distributed by the end of the year. A $1.5 billion cut from the program’s funding will severely stymie the program’s success in creating and saving jobs in the American auto industry.
