Six major environmental organizations sent this letter to the Senate in December outlining their desire for climate legislation that prevents carbon pollution leakage and assures international competitiveness.
As outlined in the letter, these environmental organizations believe that “we can cut global warming pollution from all important sectors while making sure that climate policies do not shift production of steel, aluminum, cement and other energy-intensive and trade-sensitive commodities to other countries without adequate global warming policies.”
