Green Manufacturing in Dayton: A Policy Roadmap towards Green Job Growth

The BlueGreen Alliance has initiated projects at the local level in Minneapolis, Cincinnati and now Dayton, Ohio, in an attempt to jump-start green jobs in local economies.

The BlueGreen Alliance has initiated projects at the local level in Minneapolis, Cincinnati and now Dayton, Ohio in an attempt to jump-start green jobs in local economies.

Local leaders in educational and training institutions, representative labor unions, and government representatives to met to gather information about existing training, existing jobs, and existing policies related to green manufacturing in the Dayton region. Additional research was conducted through available workforce data, publicly available records of government investment and policies, and training programs to supplement and give context to the report.

This report is focused on finding the strategies that Dayton area government, non-profit, and other community organizations can employ to support good, green jobs in Dayton.
