Lisa Wood is the Northeast Regional Organizer for Offshore Wind at the BlueGreen Alliance (BGA). In this role, she is focused on mobilizing and engaging labor and environmental organizations in the Northeastern U.S. to support initiatives for a high-road offshore wind industry.
Prior to this role, she led community engagement and external affairs for an offshore wind project being developed in the NY Bight. She has also served as an external affairs advisor at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Grid Deployment Office and as a Deputy Press Secretary at the NYC Department of Buildings.
Firmly committed to a Just Transition to an economy powered by renewable energy, she is driven by a passion to see policies centering environmental justice and energy equity become a reality across the country.
She holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Marist College and a graduate degree in Communication, Culture, & Technology from Georgetown University.
