 I am a proud 21-year member of the United Steelworkers from Chillicothe, Ohio in the heart of Appalachia. I worked in the local paper mill, formerly known as Mead Paper, in many positions on the production floor for over 20 years, untilour facility was closed in August of 2025. I was a Driver’s Education Instructor licensed through the State of Ohio for 8 years at AAA Driving Schools, and a Certified Teacher’s Aid for 7 years with the Chillicothe City Schools. I am passionate about the labor movement, education, and safety. 

 I obtained my Associate Degree in Business Management from Ohio Christian University. I am also pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at Central State University, an HBCU, and am a member of the Black Labor Week Project. 

On a personal note, I am married with 2 sons, 2 grandsons and 3 dogs. I enjoy reading, music, and watching my grandson’s baseball games in my spare time.
