Justin Jackson serves in a dual capacity at the BlueGreen Alliance as the organization’s Deputy Press Secretary and as the Marketing Associate for the organization’s Building Clean initiative. In his capacity, Jackson assists in directing the communication strategies for our local and state initiatives to incentive stakeholders to pursue policy and initiatives promoting good jobs, a clean environment and a green economy.
In addition, Jackson works closely with our Building Clean team to develop the front-facing and public presence of Building Clean and strategically advances our efforts with partners in the manufacturing, industrial, construction and developer sectors to advocate our robust facilities database that houses “buy local” and “buy healthy” supply chains here in America.
Previous to joining the BlueGreen Alliance, Jackson worked in communications as the Associate Press Secretary for the Sierra Club and facilitated the launching of, ” Green Wave 2020”, a nationwide collation of the top environmental advocacy groups in order to elect climate champions in every level of Government. Moreover, Jackson worked in this capacity to support the Sierra Club’s coordinated efforts with endorsed candidates and campaigns throughout the country.
Jackson’s professional work extends beyond working in the non-profit sector and is founded in his work in the public sector at each level of government in the state California. Jackson has served at the city, county, state and federal levels of government and has had the opportunity to work directly in support of high-ranking elected officials including Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, CA State Senate Majority Leader Bob Hertzberg, and former Secretary of Labor, Hilda L. Solis.
Justin has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with an emphasis in American Institutions and a minor in Asian American Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Justin is based out of the Greater Los Angeles area.
