The BlueGreen Alliance, a national partnership of labor unions and environmental organizations, today announced the organization has endorsed Congressman Frank Mrvan (D-IN) for the First Congressional District in Indiana.
The endorsement is a recognition of his leadership to create good-paying union jobs, fight economic and racial injustice, and reduce the emissions driving climate change. Congressman Mrvan voted for several key priorities, including the Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
“The BlueGreen Alliance is proud to endorse Congressman Mrvan,” said BlueGreen Alliance Executive Director Jason Walsh. “Our organization is founded on the belief that we don’t have to choose between good jobs and a clean environment; we can and must have both. Congressman Mrvan is a champion for building a clean, prosperous, and equitable future and is the best choice in the race for First Congressional District in Indiana.”
“We are excited to work alongside Congressman Mrvan in this election and beyond,” said Walsh.
This is the first year that the BlueGreen Alliance is endorsing candidates for Congress. Previously, the organization endorsed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for President and Vice President of the United States in 2020—the first such endorsement in the organization’s history.
