The BlueGreen Alliance, a national partnership of labor unions and environmental organizations, announced today that the organization has endorsed Ron Wyden for U.S. Senate in Oregon. 

The endorsement is a recognition of the leadership of Sen. Wyden to create good-paying union jobs, fight economic and racial injustice, and reduce the emissions driving climate change. Sen. Wyden voted for several key priorities, including the Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

“The BlueGreen Alliance is proud to endorse Sen. Wyden for Congress,” said BlueGreen Alliance Executive Director Jason Walsh. “Our organization is founded on the belief that we don’t have to choose between good jobs and a clean environment; we can and must have both. Sen. Wyden is a champion for building a clean, prosperous, and equitable future and is the best choice in the race for U.S. Senate in Oregon.”

“We are excited to work alongside Sen. Wyden in this election and beyond,” said Walsh. 

This is the first year that the BlueGreen Alliance is endorsing candidates for Congress. Previously, the organization endorsed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for President and Vice President of the United States in 2020—the first such endorsement in the organization’s history.
