Following the announcement that United Steelworkers (USW) International President and BlueGreen Alliance Co-Chair Tom Conway has passed away, the BlueGreen Alliance released a statement from Executive Director Jason Walsh.

“Our hearts are heavy with the loss of Tom Conway and our thoughts are with his family, USW staff and members, and his many friends.

“Tom Conway was a giant. He was a fighter for working people and for protecting our environment. His leadership in the USW has left a lasting impact for their members and workers throughout this country. I am extremely proud to have worked with Tom in his capacity as co-chair of the BlueGreen Alliance. We will miss him terribly.”
