New Resource Maps Impacts of “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” Admin Actions on Energy and Industrial Sectors
Today, the BlueGreen Alliance (BGA) unveiled a new data tool and map illustrating the expanse of the harm caused by the GOP’s “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” (OBBBA) and various Trump administration actions targeting the clean energy and industrial sectors.
The map and accompanying database detail sites in three “impact categories:”
- Sites where operations have either been cancelled or stalled since Trump took office in 2025.
- Sites that are impacted by changes to the tax code enacted by the OBBBA, which repealed, rolled back, or added new eligibility requirements to tax credits that businesses, developers, and others had planned on being able to access.
- Sites for which federal grants or loans have been canceled or put at risk.
“The damage that this president and Congress have done to our energy and industrial sectors is remarkable,” said BlueGreen Alliance Executive Director Jason Walsh. “These critical sectors of our economy were growing before Trump walked into the Oval Office in 2025. For a president and members of Congress to purposefully wreak this kind of destruction on the economy of their country presents an indictment of their ability to lead.”
The database includes records of nearly 3,500 distinct locations, all projects or sites where clean energy technologies are either produced or deployed. This data was collected from existing BGA datasets, the Energy Information Administration, the Office of Management and Budget, and five collaborator research groups. The data was then combined, verified, and mapped by BGA researchers.
“The level of detail included in this resource represents a deep commitment to accuracy by our research team,” said BlueGreen Alliance Vice President of Research Roxanne Johnson. “Being able to see a much fuller picture of the expansive impact of the OBBBA and Trump’s action makes it easier to visualize how these policies are playing out on the ground. Each one of the dots on that map equates to jobs, investment, and innovation lost, at risk, or which may go unrealized because of the actions of this Congress and administration.”
