President Donald Trump signed the so-called “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” into law today. This sweeping bill repeals clean energy investments that would create millions of manufacturing and construction jobs around the country as well as expanding energy options for an overtaxed electric grid.

Research confirms that killing these investments will put people out of work, shutter critical projects, limit American competitiveness in the global economy, and offshore our domestic manufacturing supply chain of clean technologies over the next decade.

The law strips millions of Americans of their healthcare and could also increase household energy costs by $400 a year within the next decade.

Following the bill signing, the BlueGreen Alliance released a statement from Executive Director Jason Walsh:

“Donald Trump said on the campaign trail he was going to bring costs down and help working people. Instead, he just signed a huge tax cut for billionaires that’s going to cost working Americans money, jobs, their health, and our future.

“We stand in solidarity with all the Americans who will lose jobs, healthcare, and other vital assistance now that this bill is law. We’re unsurprised Donald Trump prioritized his billionaire buddies over workers. We will continue to hold this country’s leadership accountable for their decisions. We deserve better, and we will fight until the country has it.”
