New BlueGreen Alliance research has found that because of the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” (OBBBA)—which Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-IA) proudly voted for—manufacturing, energy, and industrial sites across the state are facing a more difficult economic landscape. This is because that bill made changes to existing clean energy and manufacturing tax incentives—which developers were planning on—making them harder to receive.
We’ve found:
Four projects at sites across the state have been delayed or canceled.
Sites representing $4.77 billion in capital investment are impacted by the changes to tax incentives.
These new tax credit restrictions could impact 2,203 jobs across the state.
