Sen. Husted’s Support of Trump Administration Policies Risks Nearly 32,000 Ohio Jobs

New BlueGreen Alliance research has found that, because of the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” (OBBBA)—which Sen. Jon Husted (R-OH) proudly voted for—manufacturing, energy, and industrial sites across the state are facing a more difficult economic landscape. This is because that bill made changes to existing clean energy and manufacturing tax incentives—which developers were planning on—making them harder to receive.

We’ve found:
  • 21 projects at sites across the state have been delayed or canceled.
    • These delays and cancellations could impact 7,394 jobs and could cost the state $4.6 billion in capital investment.
  • Sites representing $18.1 billion in capital investment are impacted by the changes to tax incentives.
    • These new tax credit restrictions could impact 22,940 jobs across the state.
