In light of Gary S. Guzy, Deputy Director of the Office of Environmental Quality, announcing his departure from the administration, the BlueGreen Alliance expresses gratitude for his service and for his fair and thoughtful leadership over the years.

WASHINGTON, DC (December 9, 2013) – Today, Gary S. Guzy, Deputy Director of the Office of Environmental Quality, announced his departure from the administration. The following is a statement from BlueGreen Alliance Executive Director David Foster:

“As Gary Guzy moves on from his time at the Office of Environmental Quality, we wish to express gratitude for his service and for his fair and thoughtful leadership over the years. His work was essential to the historic agreement that led to the rebirth of the American auto industry and the creation of over one million jobs.

“Gary has helped guide the U.S. through some of the most difficult but important challenges we’ve faced in our generation. With his departure, we’re losing a steadfast advocate for a cleaner environment and a stronger economy. We wish Gary the best of luck on his future endeavors.”
