New TV Ad Thanks Senator Specter for Moving Clean Energy Jobs Legislation Forward

WASHINGTON, D.C. (November 6, 2009) The BlueGreen Alliance will begin running a television ad tomorrow in Pennsylvania to thank Senator Arlen Specter for his vote to move clean energy legislation forward in the U.S. Senate. The new ad, entitled “Leading,” highlights how Pennsylvania stands to gain 78,000 jobs from clean energy legislation.

“We want to commend Senator Specter for voting to move this critical clean energy jobs legislation forward,” said David Foster, Executive Director of the BlueGreen Alliance, a national partnership of labor unions and environmental organizations working to expand the number and quality of jobs in the green economy. “Congress must take action to create good jobs, reduce carbon pollution and make America more energy independent. Passing comprehensive climate change and clean energy legislation will help us to accomplish that task – building a new clean energy economy right here in the United States.”
