JD Vance Visits Auburn Hills, MI as Manufacturing Jobs Dwindle
Vice President JD Vance will be speaking at a manufacturing facility in Auburn Hills, MI today.
However, the administration’s manufacturing agenda is failing and the United States has lost over 108,000 manufacturing jobs during President Donald Trump’s first year in office. In addition, there has been an 89% slow down in the job market overall since 2024.
Anticipating the Vice President’s appearance, the BlueGreen Alliance issued a statement from Michigan Senior State Policy Manager Frank Houston:
“Trump’s plan for growing manufacturing isn’t working, despite what the Vice President says. Working people in Michigan and across the country are out of a job because of this administration and Republicans, who voted to gut the federal investment helping us revitalize domestic manufacturing. Vance’s trips to manufacturing plants aren’t the victory tour he makes it out to be—and Michigan workers aren’t charmed.”
