The 2026 Joint Review is a pivotal opportunity to enhance the USMCA’s role in promoting North American industrial resilience, clean manufacturing, and high-road labor and environmental standards. The proposed updates are crucial to align the agreement with today’s industrial realities, including electric vehicle manufacturing, critical minerals, and advanced clean technologies. These changes will reaffirm that fair competition depends on shared commitments to worker protections, environmental safeguards, and supply chain transparency.
