Trump Administration Rescinds All Designated Wind Energy Areas, Continues War Against Offshore Wind
The U.S. Bureau of Ocean Management rescinded all Wind Energy Areas (WEAs) in the U.S. Outer Continental Shelf this week. WEAs were created to establish large areas that could be designated for offshore wind development. This announcement cuts off 3.5 million acres of federal waters for new offshore wind sites.
